The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 1558 Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) posts. The online application process will start on 30 June 2023 and the last date to apply is 21 July 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
* The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination from a recognized board.
* The candidate’s age should be between 18 years and 27 years as of 01 August 2023.
* The candidate should be physically fit and should not have any disability.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Computer Based Examination (CBT) followed by a Skill Test (for Havaldar posts only). The CBT will be of two stages, Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Tier 1
The Tier 1 exam will be a 100-minute exam for 100 questions. The questions will be of multiple choice objective type. The syllabus for the Tier 1 exam will be based on the following subjects:
* General Intelligence and Reasoning
* Quantitative Aptitude
* English Language
* General Awareness
Tier 2
The Tier 2 exam will be a 60-minute exam for 60 questions. The questions will be of multiple choice objective type. The syllabus for the Tier 2 exam will be based on the following subjects:
* Arithmetic Ability
* Numerical Ability
* Clerical Aptitude
* Computer Knowledge
**Skill Test** (Only for Havaldar posts)
The Skill Test will be conducted for the candidates who qualify the Tier 2 exam. The Skill Test will be of 30 minutes duration and will consist of practical tests.
Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for the MTS posts is Rs. 18,000 per month. The starting salary for the Havaldar posts is Rs. 21,700 per month. The other benefits include provident fund, gratuity, medical allowance, etc.

The online application form can be filled up on the SSC website. The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
